In my role as a HR Business Partner I believe that I can be of great service to the Trust Board, particularly during this important establishment phase. In my employment I have to offer challenge and strategic planning to my stakeholders while offering solutions to situations and I feel this is a good fit with the Trust Board's requirements for a Foundation Director.
I am passionate about Catholic education in this area and believe we have a great opportunity in establishing the BPSMAT to make our schools great again. As a child I attended St Joseph's Primary, Halifax and later All Saints' High School, Huddersfield. I have 2 children currently attending St Joseph's Primary, Brighouse and 2 children who attended this primary before continuing their education at All Saints' High School, Huddersfield. Within the Church I help to deliver the weekly Children's Liturgy at both St Bernard's, Halifax and St Joseph's, Brighouse.
I recognize there are many challenges for schools today, particularly for Catholic education, and I hope to be able to contribute to make a difference for the future generation of schoolchildren

I have been Headteacher since September 2013 and more recently Executive Headteacher of Corpus Christi and St Theresa's R.C Primary Schools within the Diocese of Salford and Oldham Local Authority.
As National Leader of Education, I have worked with a skilled and ambitious team of specialist leaders and staff to enhance Corpus Christi as a National Support School, brokering several packages of support for underperforming schools across the Diocese of Salford, in Oldham and many other regions.

I have been the Chair of Governors at St Paulinus Catholic Primary, Dewsbury for a number of years, gaining a range of experiences from this. I have a strong affinity with this school and St John Fisher, as I attended both.
I was a secondary school teacher for 11 years and also a member of the Leadership Team, experiencing a whole range of school concerns. I now work at West Yorkshire Police and have recently been an integral part of a team producing an educational programme to be used in PSHCE lessons across all schools in West Yorkshire.
I strongly believe that Catholic Schools have the ability to offer our young people outstanding education, thus enabling them to achieve their potential in whatever field they choose.
